[LATEPOST] Cupcakes at Mom and Tina’s
Cupcakes at Mom and Tina’s Bakery 😉
Last year my former colleagues in Makati decided to do an impromptu food trip near the office and we found this quaint, little bakery down the corner where we always pass by going home. It was ealry in the morning, right after our shift so we were so thrilled to know that they were open to cater to our hungry stomach but in the end our group decided to eat elsewhere hehe. Before we left, I grabbed the opportunity to try their cupcakes so I took home these babies. Mind you I love these cupcakes and I will definitely go back to try the others 🙂
140208 Experiencing Toast Box and Vanilla Cupcake Bakery ;)
Location: G/F Bonifacio One Technology Tower, 31st St, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City
I know there are a lot of good places to eat in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig but I haven’t had the opportunity to explore the area. I know its lame given that I have previously worked in one of the largest financial institution located there for at least 2 years. But true to my promise to myself this year, I plan to change that all so I started with Toast Box and Vanilla Cupcake Bakery.  This is one of those “unplanned trip” with a dear friend. Mas natutuloy kasi talaga kapag biglaan. So when I met up Shiela at the Fort for our long overdue bonding, we really had no idea where to go or what to do per se on that day which was perfect in hindsight because it gave us opportunity to chat for a bit. That “bit” took a while because the next thing we knew its close to lunch. Continue reading
140201 Finding Binondo ;)
Part of my new years resolution was to get out often and be more adventurous this 2014. I started my journey by finding Maginhawa St and this time my sights were set on Binondo. Yep you heard it right, I would like to try authentic Chinese food and buy plenty of pasalubong to take home. Unlike Maginhawa which I have never been to, this was my 2nd time in Binondo although not in the Ongpin-Yuchengco area which was my target. The first time I was at Binondo I met a friend and I came by way of taxi. And so I begin my semi-foodtrip here and my adventure to find the place. And I say semi because I don’t have any intention of having a full blown food trip like everybody else (for now hehe), my goal only was to find Binondo itself and where most bloggers or people dine, thus the title of this entry. I tagged my siblings along on this impromptu escapade para mas masaya! For a starter, I need to know how to get us there by commuting.
140131 Giddy up for the year of the Horse!
140113 Witnessing a Moon Ring
In a cold weather like this (Manila just hit 22°c, coldest temperature we had this January), it will take an epic proportion of any kind to pull me away from the comforts of my warm blanket. But I promised myself that I will start to do things I have avoided last year and one of them was moon gazing. Never really had the chance to witness any special moon event because I was mostly assigned to working at night shift. So might as well take advantage of the rare time that I was at home when this happened.
140110 My trip to Bookay-Ukay
I love taking personality tests online so when I came across a Kokology quiz and learned that a book was in the making, I knew I had to include it on my “must-have’s book” list for the year. Also, due to reasons unknown to me, I kept on forgetting the links of my online tests thus I can’t retrieve them again to refer on my free time. When a friend of mine told me about this wonderful book and how the tests reveal a lot about oneself and one’s hidden desires by the choices made, my heart ordered me to get it. With this book, I get to keep the result within my reach and reread them each time I feel like it. Also, Bookay-ukay had already been on my radar as a bookstore to check out this year so when an opportunity came up to kill two birds in one stone (get my hand on Kokology at a very affordable price and visit Bookay-Ukay) I did not hesitate to grab it.Â
One little problem though, I didn’t know how to get to Maginhawa St. I am not even remotely familiar with the place so when I talked to sir Dan on the phone, the one who manages the store, he gave me very simple directions. I had to call in advance as well just to be sure that the book was available so as not to waste my time.
